Students Compete for “Top Chef” Status at Goucher College
Cooking for a crowd can be stressful, but adding a dash of competition and a pinch of teamwork can lead to amazing culinary creations, as proven by a recent Top Chef-style competition at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.
Contestants from each class competed in teams to cook a meal for hundreds of students, during the dinner rush, using a basket of everyday ingredients. The chef-judges plus the 500 Goucher students and staff members who came out to taste and vote awarded the top chef honors to this senior team — from left to right, students Sarah Avery, John Vincent, and Lisa Taylor — for its exceptional ginger spiced chicken.
