Ally Shelden

General Manager

General Manager Ally Shelden is celebrating her tenth anniversary at Bon Appétit this fall, having started as a catering supervisor at a Silicon Valley corporate account in San Jose, CA, and racking up a great deal of experience serving similar clients, most recently FireEye, where she pioneered an unusual food donation program.

“Ally’s passion, attention to detail and dedication to the care of our clients, guests, and team members is exemplary. She is genuine in all that she does,” says Regional Vice President Lori Flashner.

Ally is now managing the Bon Appétit operations at Cruise, an autonomous vehicle technology startup in San Francisco. During the pandemic, Cruise has lent its cars and backup drivers to deliver more than 60,000 donated meals and groceries to vulnerable individuals and families across the city. Ally and Executive Chef Daniel Williams have been making sure that Cruise’s on-site employees and test operators at sites across the city remain well-fed, through a from-scratch grab-and-go program.

“Ally’s drive and determination is simply amazing!” says District Manager Bob Hart. “She is always putting the clients’ and teams’ needs first and can accomplish any goal put in front of her. During this COVID time, she was given a serious logistical challenge to serve 900 boxed lunches daily in multiple locations across San Francisco. She created and executed a plan that keeps her client’s team able to do their jobs while creating a safe experience and motivating her own team.”
