The Bon Appétit team at Grove City College has been working hard to make things feel as normal as possible for the students at this private Christian liberal arts college in Grove City, PA. And the students in turn are showing some heart-warming appreciation for those efforts!

A group of Grove City students from the Rotaract service organization got together and made a batch of colorful thank yous for the entire team that they turned into a poster, now proudly displayed. And for Valentine’s Day, Bon Appétit Cook Linda Brady received some sweet notes from a couple of her “regulars.” Although Linda has only worked at Grove City for a year, she’s always so friendly and personable with her guests at the salad bar and deli station Hicks Dining Hall, taking the time to learn their names and what they like, that she’s made numerous fans.

Grove City students really know how to show their gratitude. In December, the college’s athletes wrote dozens of cards thanking the dining team for their efforts to bring the campus together safely around food last fall. Outdoor events such as a shrimp boil and AppleFest were a big hit: students loved sipping cider and sampling different varieties of local apples from local grower Dawson’s Orchard and house-made apple treats.

“Thank you for all your hard work and constant support during this CRAZY TIME!” as a GCC softball team member summarized it best.

Linda, General Manager Sam Shepherd, and the rest of the Grove City team have been genuinely touched by the deluge of cards.
