The Research Global Program Manager combines expert research development and project management skills with a passion for food & beverage and behavioral science research. The person will help teams improve the designs and implementation of field studies to assess the impact of various global food and beverage programs/services and translate the research findings into recommendations that are used by Google Food team partners globally. The person will work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal and external researchers from universities and corporations, food service managers, food & beverage professionals, real estate designers, engineering teams and others to plan research and field studies infrastructure, define milestones, develop and execute on implementation methodology and conduct analytics/insights investigations and support the studies to meet deadlines.
The Research Global Program Manager will develop executive summary reports based on the research findings and insights that will be used to guide operational enhancements throughout our portfolio, and manage all project-related communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders. The person is a master in planning and a flexible project manager who can balance multiple projects that often span continents, offices, and time zones; the Research Global Program Manager keeps all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines. This position reports into the Global Director, Food Choice Architecture and will leverage their behavioral science knowledge and research skills to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, nutrition, marketing, behavioral science, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and people approach) to promote with standards, Google Food expectations and enhance user (partner) experience.
Responsibilities

Work with the Google Food Team and key partners (corporate, academic, etc.) to design and vet various field studies.

Study execution and coordination
-
Coordinate internal (legal) review with all key stakeholders (privacy, legal, etc.)

Develop and execute of analytics plans that may involve analyze large datasets using statistical methods

Coordinate reporting of findings to all stakeholders, including operational activation

Communicate cross-functionally to all stakeholders throughout the research process

Develop of research guidelines and tools for Google Food Network partners

Key contributor to the development of Google Food’s Return on Program Investment (ROPI) model

Treats everyone with professionalism, care and respect

Communicates with everyone honestly, accurately and in a timely manner

Meets all timelines for quarter and year-end reports given by our partner and Sector Employer
Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s degree with an emphasis on research, quantitative analysis and/or consumer behavior (Food and Beverage research, Customer insights, psychology, I-O Psychology, Organizational Development or a related topic area) -- or equivalent practical experience

4 years of work experience, preferably in consulting or a research function

Project management experience
-
Experience with spreadsheets and statistical packages (e.g., SPSS)

Experience analyzing data and presenting results to stakeholders

Extensive experiences designing and helping to carry out field experiments and surveys in an applied setting, ideally in the areas of food and beverage, health or financial rewards

Skilled at handling tools & technologies

Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

Communication experience with internal consulting and communicating effectively, including conveying quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences

Experience in working in a multi-cultural, multi-unit environment

Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and interact with all levels within the organization

Strong passion for great food and hospitality

Ability to speak and present effectively in a group setting to Associates, Managers and Client and represent the Google Food Brand

Working knowledge of Google Applications

Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
Travel: approximately 20% travel some may be international
